About Highland Place
Located in central Florida, Lake County is bordered by the following counties: Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Sumter, Marion, and Volusia. Mt. Dora is the jewel of Lake County. The town was named after the massive Lake Dora, which surveyors named in 1846. On the other hand, Lake Dora was named after Ms. Dora Ann Drawdy (1819-1885), who homesteaded the area in the 1800s.

Events and Celebrations
Mount Dora hosts eight major annual events, including Mount Dora Arts Festival, an antique boat show, antique car show, sailing regatta, golf tournament, bicycle festival, crafts fair, and the annual Christmas Lighting Festival drawing thousands of visitors to the community. Mount Dora is also home to Renninger’s Flea Market, one of central Florida’s premier antique venues, with extravaganzas three times per year, drawing thousands of people to Mount Dora. About the Property
Highland Place consists of 18 buildings with over 30,000 square feet of income-producing structures. Long-term and short-term units are available, with 18 motel rooms and 12 apartments with full kitchens. Ten areas may be used as commercial offices, studios, and a full commercial kitchen with a dining room to seat 75 guests, and one building may be used as a large meeting room or functions as a great multipurpose room. Loads of storage is already in place, with a large basement and barn for equipment. The front of Highland Place has a lighted tennis court and a large swimming pool along with a large, covered stage for performances.
The property is completely fenced. It has gates on Highland Street in the front and Clayton Street on the back of the property. Cameras provide full-time video monitoring, viewed online 24-7, with a complete backup system in place. Motel rooms are monitored 24-7 to a call center which notifies the proper personnel in case of emergency. Ample parking is available at Highland Place, with over 100 spaces in the back half of the property alone.
